WRITING & WEB WORK

WEB WORK / DESIGN

This multimedia site was part of a Plaza tribute project I worked on in first year, with a small team of colleagues we interviewed skaters who have built a connection with the iconic skate park beneath Vancouver’s Georgia viaduct.

The assignment was one of the first sites I was able to put my name and feel really proud of the finished work, which included a seven minute radio documentary and a site with some powerful visuals.

This piece features accountability interviews with a Vancouver  City Council  member, and videos with testimony from displaced seniors living in the downtown east-side.

As part of investigative Journalism BCIT asked that we built a post for their site on a hard hitting subject here in Vancouver. My group researched Burnaby’s renoviction problem, and how it contributes to an inflated number of homeless seniors across metro Vancouver.

Linked here is a BCIT news digital documentary on Lyme disease,  I contributed on about the dangers of ticks in spring time, and the life altering realties of Lyme disease.

Interview subjects include founder of B.C.'s only Lyme specific research centre, and an affected person's stories of long misdiagnosis and incurable symptoms.
